THE PRACTICE

Marin County Behavioral Health – Greenbrae, CA

Marin County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) is a Division of the Marin County Health and Human Services Department. At BHRS, we care for the whole person with compassion and respect for your cultural values. Our goal is to help you achieve and maintain long term health, wellness and recovery, and to foster healthy families and communities. BHRS provides outpatient, residential, crisis services, and hospital care addressing specialty mental health and substance use service needs of Marin Medi-Cal beneficiaries and uninsured residents.

Crisis Stabilization Unit

  • 4 hours of coverage on Saturday, Sunday and holidays
  • Flexible shift times; ideally 7:30am – 11:30am
  • The Crisis team consists of RN, 2 Crisis Specialists and the Psychiatrist.
  • Provide risk assessments informing 5150 hold decisions, medications, medical comorbidities, and psychiatric diagnostics
  • Enhance the scope of weekend assessments and support the flow with increased weekend discharges or referrals to the Casa Rene Crisis Unit
  • Flexibility to shape workflow based on clinical priority
